Dysdaemonia braziliensis is confined to the Atlantic Forest region of southern Brazil (EspĂ­rito Santo to Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, and northern Argentina (Misiones). It inhabits humid tropical and subtropical forests, including second growth; up to ca. 1,500 m. This species is whitish-gray in appearance. The forewing is 63-65 mm long. D. braziliensis flies in September in Rio de Janeiro, and January-February further south.
